Sources behind the symptom vocabulary
Spor is a diary, not a clinical tool. But the words it uses for symptoms — categories, severity levels, the Bristol scale, the alert markers — are borrowed from the same Norwegian and international guides clinicians already use. This page lists where each label comes from, so a clinician can see at a glance that nothing in your diary needs translating.
Alert markers
Primary: Norsk veileder i praktisk
anafylaksihåndtering (NFAI, 2014); Akuttveileder i pediatri
kap. 6.1 (Norsk barnelegeforening) for pediatric use.
Underlying: WAO 2020 anaphylaxis guidance,
NIAID-FAAN 2006 anaphylaxis criteria, NICE CG134.
Tier mapping between Spor's alert-marker levels and the Norwegian
veileder's gradering is cross-checked — the two scales are not
identical to WAO.
Allergen immunterapi · symptom and risk fields
Primary: Praktisk veileder i allergen immunterapi,
3. utgave 2023 (NFAI / RAAO).
Supplementary: Norsk legemiddelhåndbok T9.1.3
(Allergenspesifikk immunterapi) and L9.5.1 (Allergenekstrakter).
Underlying: EAACI Allergen Immunotherapy
Guidelines (2014, 2021).
Astma · severity and triage flags
Norway has no single national asthma guideline that replaces GINA;
Spor combines the Norwegian sources that exist with GINA as the
underlying evidence base — the same hybrid the Norwegian sources
use.
Primary: Generell veileder i pediatri kap. 7.8.1
(≤5 år) and 7.8.2 (6–18 år), Akuttveileder i pediatri kap. 7.2
(Norsk barnelegeforening), Praktisk veileder for alvorlig astma
hos voksne (Norsk forening for lungemedisin), Helsedirektoratets
prioriteringsveileder for astma (juni 2024).
Underlying: GINA 2023.
Bristol Stool Form & bowel-symptom fields
No Norwegian replacement exists; Bristol-skalaen is used directly
in Norwegian clinical material.
Norwegian wording: Spor's Norwegian Bristol
descriptions follow Norgine/Movicol's Rome Foundation-licensed
translation
(NO-GE-MOV-2200027).
Norwegian anchor: Generell veileder i pediatri
kap. 5.30 (IBS) and kap. 5.15 (IBD);
NKFM utredningsveileder for funksjonelle sykdommer i tarm (2023).
Criteria source: Mearin et al. 2016 (Rome IV
diary fields).
Cross-reactivity · educational notes
Primary: Praktisk veileder i allergologisk
laboratoriediagnostikk (NFAI / RAAO).
Underlying: EAACI Molecular Allergology User's
Guide — referenced directly for component-level detail beyond
the Norwegian veileder.
These sources shape what each field is called and how it's ordered — not what it means. Spor doesn't diagnose, doesn't decide, doesn't suggest treatment. It records what you log, in words your clinician will recognise.
